The Dialogue on cooperation activities between the Japanese Digital Creative Industries and the Delegation of the Ministry of Digital Technologies/the Creative Association from Uzbekistan

The delegation led by Mr. Sakurai, Advisor to the Minister of Digital Technology (MDT) of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Mr. Abduvali Khaydarov, President of Uzbekistan Creative Association (UzCA) visited Japan from March 10 to 13, 2025. The visit was conducted based on the “Memorandum of Intention (MoI) for Digital Cooperation” signed between CICC and MDT in January 2024, MDT,UzCA visited companies, industry associations, universities, educational institutions, and government agencies to exchange the view of current status of Digital Creative Industry both in Japan and Uzbekistan, as well as future cooperation in this area. Under support from CICC, the participants visited Pole to Win Corporation, Digital Knowledge Corporation, A1 Japan LTD, The Association of Japanese Animations, Suginami Animation Museum, International Game Developers Association Japan, Digital Content Association of Japan, International Professional University of Technology in Tokyo , University of Tsukuba, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics, Kyoto Seika University, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The market size of the animation industry in Japan is 3 trillion yen per year, and the overall market size of the digital creative industry is growing remarkably to 13 trillion yen per year, and the rapid growth of digital creative industry requires sufficiency and utilization of highly skilled technical personnel as urgent issue. Uzbekistan, which has set out the development of the digital industry and digital human resource development as part of the National Growth Strategy, expects to actively approach the Japanese market in this field.
