Based on a request from Myanmar's top-level IT universities, we agreed with the purpose of cooperation in the IT field with Myanmar and provided internship support to CICC supporting member companies who wish to accept internship students. We are currently considering expanding to other countries.
■ In 2020, two companies announced their participation in this project and hired a total of seven people from two universities as internships. We provided online internship support under the influence of measures against COVID-19 infectious diseases.
■ Since the coup d'etat in February 2021 forced the activities in Myanmar to freeze, from 2021 onward, we started our planning to expand this scheme to other countries by utilizing our experience and know-how in Myanmar.
■ In 2022, we plan to introduce programs from each countries, including Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Mauritius. And, we resumed our activities in Myanmar from October.
