Dialog for Cooperation in IT utilization
CICC invites key IT personnel from governments and/or other related organizations in Asia and other regions to promote dialog for cooperation in IT utilization, through sharing of common IT-related challenges and providing information regarding IT trends, sample cases in Japan, etc.
■Multinational cooperation
In Feb. 2023, dignitaries from IT-related government agencies from six South East Asian countries participated in “the National Digital Policies and Flagship Projects in the New Normal Era" conference online held by CICC and supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), ASEAN-Japan Centre and Institute of Digital Government of Waseda University. Canceled visit of National Institutes and IT companies in Japan due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
■Bilateral cooperation
● In Mar. 2019, the CICC invited key personnel from MONRE of Viet Nam, who participated in a program studying Japanese practices of IT application in land administration sector.
● In Mar. 2019, the CICC invited key personnel from VNPT IT of Vietnam, who studied Japanese practice of IT application and security efforts in central and local government agencies.
● In 2020, not had inviting key personnel due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
● In 2021, an invitation project (related to biometrics) from Pakistan was adopted but not implemented.
